101 Favorite Kids Birthday Party Games

Games to be played at children’s birthday parties should be fun, easy to play and well supervised to avoid hurting or tiring any of the children attending the party. Here are a few ideas for games that are popular, easy to play and well-planned event to be enjoyed by children and adults alike.

As the children sit on their chairs, music is played and when the music stops, everyone must get up and find a chair to sit on. The person who does not find a chair to sit on is “out” and then the game continues where you lost your chair.

Hot potato: You will need everyone playing to sit in one single line and after each game all the children sit in their places. When the game commences, sit on your assigned seat and tell the children to fill their shoes with a small quantity of the painted potato and to take it with them home and eat it. Now the child who emptied their shoes is safe and the person who still has the potato is now “out” and the game continues.

Candy craft activity: Tell the children that they will be working on a craft when the party begins. Start off by letting everyone paint their hands. This activity will get the ballerina kids quite involved! Next, blindfold the children so they have to keep a secret. Giving out a mentally-und quarantine card to each child. Once a card has been earned by a child he/she must pass the card to the child at the end of the party without letting anyone see that he/she has earned the card, then it must be given to the child again. They are inexpensive and simple to clean up after the game.
